To Who It May Concern,
The following introduces An Organization for Human Rights Directed
Towards Women and Children, in terms of its involvement in the field
of interactive assistance and the philosophy by which it operates.
The requirement for an NGO must entail transparency and accountability.
The period of operation must involve not only the actual time of
operation, but also the subsequent involvement in the aftermath
of the operation. Too often participants in the field tend to forget
the implications of the exercise. They consider that as soon as
activity ceases there is no reason to consolidate the situation.
This is precisely the problem that begets a number of medium sized
NGO’s and encourages a majority of recipient areas to doubt
their legitimacy. There has to be tangible proof that what is contemplated
and/or activated is valuable to the subsistence of the area.
It is important to appreciate that the governments of most disaster
stricken areas are primarily concerned with obtaining two aspects:
[a] the wherewithal to alleviate the immediacy of the disaster;
[b] the need to acquire the means to effect a more permanent resistance
to these situations.
This is where the delicacy of the problem lies. This NGO is constrained
to make the appropriate overtures that go far beyond the immediacy
of a situation. The appropriate administration of aid becomes the
pinnacle of success for the salvation of women and children caught
in that morass. It is this dedication to cause and effect that constitutes,
salvages and redefines the approach to natural disaster and the
consequences that it embodies for the illimitable number of women
and children caught in its embrace.
